This exhibition showcases Brown’s latest string drawings and resin works, portraying the home and hearth, respectively, as the primary containers for the intangible.

The string drawings are life-sized 3-dimensional, architecturally based line drawings in elastic. They attempt to portray the contours and dimensions of the artist’s memories of his childhood home.

The resin works are alternately smaller versions of the string drawings and food-based. The food pieces are both visceral and clinical at the same time. Food is preserved in a state of partial (and in some cases continuing) decay, while suspended in a 3-dimensional line drawing of its vessel.
